Welcome !
My name is Zdenka, I live in Croatia, Europe. Here is the true story of my unfortunate work for company called TypeInternational (TI).
I've joined them in August 2008 as HomeTypist. That was my first mistake – I never bothered to check this company on Internet. If I did I surely wouldn't joined them. As always, this kind of mistake is never correctable. I've choosed name „Gena Slavic“ as my alias. Gena is a name from my family, last name is just taken from a phonebook. They assigned me their ID – 14715. As suggested from TI, I've created mail account on Yahoo! for ad inquiries and ad sites registration purposes. At first I didn't understand how is reporting supposed to be done – on TI web page there was two completely different instructions – first one was to make a copy of each posted ad and collect 100 of them on my own web page and to send them a link. Second one was to make list of 200 posted ads and send them that list in e-mail. After some communication via e-mail with their customer service, I've learned that second instruction was the right one. I have to say that any question I had was answered quickly. Sometimes I didn't understand completely what they ment with their reply, but additional questions were also answered quickly. I have to say – I was quite impressed with their kindness and fast answers.
Yes, there was initial fee of US$105 and I've payed it counting on small but steady income form my ad posting. Also, there is monthly fee of US$35 which I payed for 5 months in year 2008 and 3 months in year 2009, also US$10 was price of setting up required web page for me (basically that was copy of their main web page with extension which contained my ID) and that was total of US$395. Now I know – that money was completely wasted.
So, I've started to post ads. Of course, ad sites list at TI site was quite limited – there was many links on ad sites no longer working. I didn't let that to stop me – I've found quite extensive list of ad sites on TI members forum (you can find it at http://typeintmem.proboards44.com/index.cgi). There was also number of dead links, but total number of ad sites has finally reached 200. My first report with 200 links was sent on September 29th 2008 – but I didn't expect it to pass inspection, there was way too many days passed from first ads posted and quite some ad sites had limit of 30 days for ads before they expire. OK, that was first one and I was ready to forget it, as it happened. As I was posting ads for my first report, I've found that posting multiple ads on same ad site is quicker way to do the job, so my next reports were sent on October 6th 2008. You can see all my reporting dates here.
November 18th 2008. was the first time my commision page was updated (see it completely here). That was the first time I saw something out of ordinary – according to TI web page, checks should be sent when my account reaches US$110 and one month after report was inspected. As you can see on my commision page, my account had total of US$188.40 on November 18th 2008. When TI rules were applied to my account, paycheck should have been sent on January 1st 2009. (well, that day is a holiday, so make it January 2nd 2009.) – but my commision page said that was processed for paying on February 1st 2009. I didn't quite understand why was this delay introduced, but still didn't get upset – after all, one month later is not that much later giving the „complexity“ of job. Time passed and my account was updated regularly as I sent my reports. On February 25th 2009. I've decided to ask TI about paychecks. Here you can see all of my mail exchange with them:
(those are e-mail copies - text was edited just to remove my personal informations and private e-mail)

As you can see, they don't give up on their story „checks have been sent“. It is not difficult task to show that none of the checks were converted to cash – why would I keep them as expired pieces of paper ? If I received any of them, I would exchange them for cash in my local bank.
So, now you can decide for yourself should you engage with TI or not. I'm not going to lie to you – I've found a number of testimonies of people who claim to be payed regularly. I've also found quite a number of people claiming they never got paid just like me. So, there is no guarantees you will be payed – but you might be. Do you feel lucky ?
If you would like, send me a mail to genaslavic@rocketmail.com and please use „TypeInternational unreliable“ as subject (this will catch my attention, otherwise it might be deleted as spam). I would like to connect with as many people as possible who was also engaged with TI and never got paid. Also, I would like to hear from people who did get paid – maybe there was a reason for not paying my work ?
Regards,
Zdenka
